Long Covid Cardiological Screening Packages

LONG COVID CARDIOLOGICAL SCREENING
Anyone who has had an important form of Covid must have a checkup three months after infection, even if there are no symptoms. Who has persistent symptoms must also do subsequent examinations, to 6 months and beyond, depends on what are the results of the first carried out.
We talk about cardiovascular “long-Covid”, to signal how it is necessary to follow over time not only those who have overcome the infection and already had health problems for the heart and arteries, but also for those who begin to manifest signs and symptoms of cardiac suffering related to the aftermath of viral infection and the response of the organism.
Statistics say that one to three out of ten people, after Covid-19, may manifest signs and symptoms of long-Covid.
Among the most frequent symptoms of this condition, speaking of course only of the circulatory system, there are increased heart rate, difficulty in coping with physical exertion, shortness of breath.
In those who face the long-Covid, in addition to the classic laboratory tests, the situation should be assessed through electrocardiogram, echocardiography, study of the heart rate, cardiological examination targeted.
Particular attention should be given to those with tachycardia and low resistance to physical exertion, as these conditions lead the person to the classic “sofa syndrome”. It is necessary to avoid a strong sedentary attitude, linked to the intolerance to the effort, which can precipitate the cardiocirculatory situation. For this, in patients with symptoms of this type, it is necessary to study a targeted rehabilitation path through exercises that allow you to move in a supine or semi-lying position.
In our center, cardiological examinations are performed for long-covid with electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, blood chemistry and stress tests.

LONG-COVID RHEUMATOLOGICAL SCREENING
Covid-19 virus would have links to fibromyalgia. Or rather, the infection would be a predisposing factor to the development of the syndrome that causes, among other things, widespread pain in muscles and bones and fatigue.
Many patients who, after contracting Covid-19 disease, complain of joint symptoms including pain, swelling and stiffness they develop a concomitant picture of fibromyalgia and/or chronic fatigue syndrome
The development of FibroCovid could be linked to particularly severe forms of Covid-19 that reverberate on the musculoskeletal system, the nervous system and the immune system for many months after the healing of the primary infection, thus generating painful symptoms
