The MEDICURE MEDICAL CENTER has an outpatient sports medicine clinic that performs medical examinations for obtaining a certificate of fitness for competitive sports and non-competitive sports activities.

For all those who intend to engage in AGONISTIC sports activity, the examination includes:
• Medical history by the physician
• ECG electrocardiogram
• ECG tracing of recovery at the end of effort
• ECG monitoring during exercise
• spirometry
• virus control
• urine test

NON competitive:
• Resting ECG
• Medical history by physician

Post Covid certificates are issued for fitness for competitive sports. In the evaluation of Covid-19 positive athletes who are now recovered, special attention should be paid to the joints whose involvement is most frequent and potentially risky for possible long-term outcomes. This is achieved by taking a history and performing a thorough objective examination looking for signs and/or symptoms that may be indicative of possible involvement of specific organs and/or apparatuses.
The athlete is seen only and exclusively by a physician specialist in sports medicine, who performs examinations to certify their fitness to practice one or more sports at a competitive level.
If the doctor in the course of the examination deems it necessary to investigate the function and status of particular organs-apparatuses, he may request additional examinations.
